Trust as a Foundation

Trust

Trust is built on facts, not statements.

It grows over time through clear choices, transparent communication, a strong sense of responsibility and genuine attention to people.

For us, trust is everything. It underpins the services we provide, the data we safeguard and the relationships we build.

In this section, we outline the principles that guide our way of being a Bank.

Managing Our Activities Ethically

Ethics is at the core of how we work. It shapes the way we make decisions and how we design, manage and evolve our products and services. Integrity, fairness and responsibility aren’t just principles for us — they’re the way we operate every day.

Compliance Culture

For us, Compliance is not a checklist - it’s a way of working.
We nurture it every day through training, open dialogue, clear rules and transparent processes. This approach helps us create a workplace where respecting laws, ethical principles and company policies is part of our daily routine - and a responsibility shared by everyone.

A Solid and Cross‑Functional Governance Model

We review every project proposal - whether it involves a new product or changes to existing ones - through a shared, cross‑functional evaluation process that brings together all the relevant functions.

Risk Management

Over time, we have developed a strong risk culture based on a comprehensive, shared vision across all organizational levels. This approach enables a deeper understanding of risks, greater awareness in the decision‑making process, and a better balance between the risks taken and the controls in place.
Fineco’s risk management framework includes a range of controls and metrics designed to oversee sustainability‑related risks, in line with the Group’s strategy and Risk Appetite Framework (RAF). We can anticipate risks and enhance their management, ensuring the solidity of our business model.

Communicating Clearly and Accurately with Our Stakeholders

Trust grows when the right words are used.
That’s why we communicate in a simple, clear and accessible way, with messages designed to be always understandable and verifiable.

Listening

We believe that listening is the first step toward improvement. That’s why we use dedicated channels and tailored approaches to engage in meaningful dialogue with all our stakeholders.

Customer Dialogue

Ongoing dialogue with our customers is essential. Through meetings, customer care interactions, surveys carried out during digital events and education sessions, we gather insights and suggestions directly from customers — or through our financial advisors — to better understand their needs and continuously improve our products and services.

Responsible Marketing

We describe our products and services in full compliance with regulations, using simple and clear language. We avoid unnecessary complexity and ensure transparency through numerical evidence and detailed, easily verifiable conditions.

Digital Accessibility

In an organization like ours, where products and services are offered primarily through digital channels, technology only matters if it’s accessible to everyone. That’s why we have adopted a dedicated policy to ensure accessibility features are embedded from the very beginning of the design process for all digital products and services — for both customers and employees (accessibility by design). We also provide dedicated training courses to strengthen awareness and skills across the organization.

Protecting information means honouring the trust placed in us. We rely on cutting‑edge technologies and regularly review our security measures to safeguard the data we hold and ensure that our services remain fully operational and consistently available.

Behind every piece of data there is a person, and having full control over one’s information is a right we protect with great care. For this reason, we have implemented a robust system for safeguarding personal data and associated information, and we ensure that customers clearly understand how they can exercise their rights.

ICT & Security

In Fineco, information security and the protection of our IT systems are a strategic priority, supporting our business objectives from multiple perspectives. In particular, they

Taking care, for us, means respect, protection, and attention toward people and the environment.

From human‑resources policies to environmental and social impact, the creation of shared value guides every one of our choices. Because this is what we truly want: for the people who work with us, for the environment we live in, and for the communities in which we operate.

Finance that guides you

Empower

Finance, as we know, can be complex. That’s why we make it simpler and more accessible, with tools and content designed to help people understand and make informed choices. Promoting market knowledge, cultivating a long‑term mindset, and encouraging a responsible approach to investing: these are the three levers through which we build financial awareness.

Promoting knowledge of financial markets

Knowledge creates opportunities, and that’s why we’ve placed financial education at the heart of our commitment: helping people make more informed and responsible financial decisions is one of the key goals of our sustainability plan.

Learning to invest consciously: our financial education initiatives

Through our people and our network of Financial Advisors, we build fosterl literacy where it’s needed most: among clients, within communities, and in schools. Because awareness becomes opportunity when it’s shared.

Building a long‑term mindset

Rising life expectancy is reshaping the way individuals and families live and plan for the future: retirement is no longer a final destination, but an intermediate step toward a new phase of life.

Our goal is to promote a culture in which longevity is viewed as an opportunity, supporting people along a long‑term financial planningjourney. A vision grounded in a set of key principles:

The value of time and longevity

As with physical health, time is also the decisive variable for financial well‑being: starting early enables more informed and conscious choices.

Diversification

Maintaining a portfolio that includes different asset classes is essential for effective risk management.

Supplementary pension planning

In a context of increasing life expectancy, strengthening retirement income through supplementary pension solutions becomes essential to ensure long‑term financial well‑being.

Focus on generational wealth transfer

In the coming years, generational wealth transfer will lead to a significant shift in assets. Advisory services will become even more strategic, thanks to the synergy between experienced Financial Advisors and new talent—an essential combination for facilitating the transfer of expertise and building personalized, long‑lasting relationships that support clients through every stage of life.

Promoting responsible investment approaches

Promoting responsible finance means acting on two fronts: investing in the skills of our people and providing clients with concrete tools to understand and support change.

Innovating to simplify

Innovate

Fineco has always been committed to providing high-quality services to its clients, guided by two fundamental principles: simplicity and continuous innovation, applied to the way services are designed and delivered.

Innovation that works

Innovation is considered effective only when it brings a tangible improvement to the user experience. For this reason, every strategic decision is driven by a central question: are we truly simplifying our clients’ lives?

Artificial Intelligence to Enhance Service Quality

Artificial Intelligence offers numerous opportunities within the banking sector, and at Fineco we began by focusing on optimising the services we provide.

Main AI-driven activities:

  • Portfolio creation and diagnostics based on quantitative and financial variables
  • Automation of repetitive tasks and operations carried out by advisors
  • Production of investment reporting
  • Faster access to internal documents and circulars
  • Simplified onboarding for new clients

Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence

AI also introduces new challenges. For this reason, we have adopted a dedicated Policy that defines the principles guiding our use of Artificial Intelligence: ethical and fair model development, a strong focus on the human factor, transparency and accuracy of models, and robust data protection and security.

Awareness and knowledge are essential to fully leverage the potential of AI. This is why we continuously invest in training our employees and advisors, as well as in informing clients to help prevent fraud and cyber-scams.

Reducing Environmental Impact

Innovation is not only about improving service quality - it is also about strengthening our commitment to sustainability. Through digitalization and the dematerialization of processes, we are progressively reducing the environmental impact of our operations.
